A Focus on Meeting Your Targets
April 12-13, 2012 / The Harvard Club of New York City
Matching a fund’s assets to its liabilities should be the goal of any asset owner circa 2012. This conference’s sole aim is to help CIOs and senior investment professionals at pension funds, endowments & foundations, and sovereign wealth funds achieve this.
Liability matching comes under the guise of many different strategies and programs – think LDI for corporate pensions (and, to a lesser degree, public funds) and inflation+5% targets for endowments, foundations, and sovereign funds. Yet, they all have one common goal: refocusing the minds of CIOs on meeting their fund’s unique goals, not simply beating markets and peers.
With this in mind, the 2012 CIO Summit New York City – while covering the three main topic silos of investment strategies, manager selection, and asset-owner operations – will view all subjects through the lens of helping the people who run pension plans, sovereign funds, and endowments and foundations focus on meeting their liabilities through innovative approaches to asset management.
