Northern Trust Corp. announced Thursday leadership changes in its asset servicing unit to fill the shoes of President Teresa Parker, who will retire on January 1, 2026, after more than 40 years at the company
Clive Bellows, Northern Trust’s president of Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Guy Gibson, global head of institutional banking and markets, were named co-presidents of asset servicing, succeeding Parker.
Melanie Pickett, Northern Trust’s head of asset servicing for the Americas, will be promoted to the newly created role of chief transformation officer, as which she will lead the design and execution of initiatives to accelerate innovation and adapt to changes in the market, according to a Northern Trust statement.

All three executives will report to CEO Michael O’Grady. Gibson and Pickett will also join Northern Trust’s leadership team, which already includes Bellows and O’Grady.
“Clive, Guy and Melanie bring exceptional expertise and proven ability to navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing landscape. Their leadership will further drive innovation and deliver meaningful value for our clients,” O’Grady said in a statement. “We are extremely grateful to Teresa for her steadfast leadership and the lasting impact she’s made on our organization.”
Gibson and Bellows will continue to lead institutional banking and markets and EMEA, respectively, in addition to their new roles.
