Cerity Partners Finalizes Deal With Austin Private Wealth

The OCIO provider will add $1.4 billion in assets in retirement channels.

Cerity Partners LLC, a New York-based independent wealth management firm, announced Tuesday a partnership with Austin Private Wealth LLC, a registered investment adviser headquartered in Austin, Texas. Austin Private Wealth, which offers retirement planning and has approximately $1.4 billion in assets under management, will operate under the Cerity Partners name.

According to the announcement, the partnership broadens Cerity’s presence in the Austin market and enhances its wealth planning, investment management and holistic financial solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families and businesses.

The transaction does not have immediate implications for Cerity’s outsourced CIO business, a person familiar with the firms plans said.

“This partnership brings together two firms with a shared culture of client-first advice and long-term thinking,” said Claire O’Keefe, a partner in and head of partner development at Cerity Partners, in a statement. “We are expanding our presence in a key growth market for the firm.”
