Wen Nannen
Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions appointed Wen Nennen as head of insurance general account solutions, according to a LinkedIn post from Rich Nuzum, Franklin Templeton’s head of outsourced CIO.
Nannen will work with insurers to develop investment solutions for U.S.-based insurance clients. Franklin Templeton managed more than $170 billion in insurance assets as of February 2025.
She will report to Nuzum in the role, a spokesperson for Franklin Templeton said.
“Insurance companies continue to navigate an increasingly complex investment landscape, creating greater demand for customized portfolio construction, capital efficiency, and risk management,” Nuzum wrote on LinkedIn. “Wen brings more than 23 years of experience advising and managing insurance portfolios, and I’m excited to have her join our growing team as we continue to expand our capabilities.”
In March, Franklin Templeton announced the appointment of Lyenda Delp as head of global insurance and institutional asset solutions, and in February 2025 it named Alexandre Mincier as head of insurance for the EMEA region.
Nannen was previously the founder and principal owner of Altira Partners, a boutique consulting firm servicing insurers. Prior to that, she was the CIO of Securian Financial; managing director and insurance portfolio manager at Lincoln Financial Group; and held roles at Birch Creek Capital, Aberdeen Asset Management, Credit Suisse and Moody’s.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China, and a master’s degree in accounting from Baruch College in New York City.
