The Danica and Bank Pensions will both have new chiefs at the helm by December.
CIO Forty Under Forty stalwart Anders Hjælmsø Svennesen will join Danica Pension as CIO, the company has announced. He will join the DKK 324 billion (€43.5 billion) fund on December 1, leaving his current role as co-CIO at Danish national pension ATP. He replaces former CIO Peter Lindegaard.
Svennesen will be responsible for developing Danica Pension’s investment department, the company said. One of his first tasks will be to continue Danica Pension’s increased focus on direct investments. In the coming years, Danica Pension will invest more than DKK 10 billion in solid Danish and foreign companies, a spokesperson said.
Elsewhere, Bank Pension has appointed Lars Stouge as CEO. He will take over the role today and replaces Niels-Ole Ravn, who had been in charge for 24 years before stepping down last month.
Bank Pension, which runs pension fund money for Danish financial services employees, oversaw assets worth more than €2.6 billion according to figures from March 2013.
