Stanford Long-Term Investing Fellowship Accepting Applications

Four candidates will be chosen to spend a year at Stanford University immersed in the investing program that debuted in 2024.

The Stanford Long-Term Investing Fellowship, which provides university graduates with the opportunity to spend a year immersed in a long-term investing program, has begun accepting applications for 2026-27.

The program, launched in 2024, will select four fellows. It is intended to provide experience and exposure to long-term investing guidance. It also includes secondments to one of CalPERS’ investment teams in Sacramento or to other major long-term institutional investors.

“The SLTIF will provide a unique pathway to develop a deep understanding of long-term investing and build a career shaping this industry,” according to Stanford University. “Fellows placed at CalPERS or other leading LTIs will have the opportunity to work at the heart of some of the largest and best-known public pension organizations in the world.”

The program’s application deadline is February 13. Screening will be completed by the second week in March, at which time applicants who make the cut will be notified and asked to submit references by April. Interviews will be conducted between April 6 and April 30, with final decisions made during the first week of May.
