Northern Trust Names Americas Head of Asset Servicing

Jessica Donohue
Northern Trust announced Wednesday the promotion of Jessica Donohue to head of asset servicing, Americas. Donohue, who joined the firm last September as global head of project management for Asset Servicing, will report to Clive Bellows, who is co-president of the business unit.
Donahue succeeds Melanie Pickett in the role. Pickett was named chief transformation officer at the firm, following a leadership shakeup after Northern Trust Asset Servicing president Teresa Parker retired in January.
“Jess Donohue brings exceptional industry expertise and proven leadership to this role, which will be invaluable for our Americas business,” Bellows said in a statement. “Her deep knowledge of asset servicing and the challenges facing both asset managers and asset owners will help us deliver an enhanced level of capability in the region.”
Northern Trust also announced the appointment of John Turney to Donohue’s former role.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Donohue spent nearly 17 years at State Street, most recently as head of global investment insights. She previously held roles including global head of asset owner segment and head of the global clients division.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and affairs and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, as well as a master’s in agricultural and applied economics from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D in economics from the University of Minnesota.
