SEI Names Nathan Shetty as CIO
The asset manager, outsourced CIO and technology service provider’s new investment chief has past experience at Nuveen and at UBS Asset Management.

Financial technology service provider and asset manager SEI Investments Co. on Wednesday named Nathan Shetty as its new CIO, effective June 1.
Shetty will be responsible for leading SEI’s investment platform across research, portfolio management and operations, according to the announcement.
Shetty joins SEI from Nuveen Asset Management, where he served eight years as managing director and head of multi-asset investing. Before that, he was global co-head of portfolio management for investment solutions at UBS Global Asset Management.
“As client needs continue to evolve, we remain focused on evolving our asset management platform and delivering differentiated investment capabilities aligned with the outcomes clients are seeking,” said Michael Lane, the head of SEI’s asset management business, in a statement. “Nathan brings deep experience leading global, multi-asset investment organizations and a successful track record of building customized solutions across asset classes, investment styles, and portfolio structures.”
Shetty earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Duquesne University, a master of science degree in communication from Northwestern University, a master of science degree in statistics from Texas A&M University, and an MBA in analytical finance and econometrics from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
