Nuveen Private Capital announced Wednesday the appointment of Robert Rdzak as managing director, consultant relations, a newly created role in which he will lead engagement with institutional consultants for Nuveen’s Churchill Asset Management and Arcmont Asset Management units.

Rdzak will partner with Nuveen’s consultant relations and institutional distribution teams in order to expand the $99 billion alternatives platform among institutional consulting firms and their clients.

Based in New York, Rdzak will report to Michael Foley and David Burnside, Nuveen Private Capital’s co-heads of business development.

“I’m excited to join NPC at such a compelling time in the platform’s growth,” Rsdzak said in a statement. “As institutional investors continue to expand their allocations to private markets, consultants play an increasingly important role in helping them navigate an evolving landscape. NPC’s depth of investment expertise across Churchill and Arcmont creates a compelling platform to serve that growing need, and I look forward to building on the firm’s strong relationships across the consultant community.”

Rdzak joins Nuveen from Barings, where he spent eight years leading engagement with investment consultants. He previously held business development and institutional sales roles at BlackRock and Ellington Management group.
