BlackRock Inc.’s assets under management hit $15.5 trillion as of the end of the year’s third quarter, the firm reported on Wednesday.

During Q3, the world’s largest asset manager saw $205 billion in net inflows, driven by its iShares exchange-traded funds ($135 billion), institutional clients ($44 billion) and retail clients ($23 billion).

The firm also reported managing $800 billion in alternative investments during the quarter, an increase from $717 billion in Q3 2025. BlackRock acquired Global Infrastructure Partners in 2024 and credit manager HPS Investment Partners in 2025 to help boost its alternatives offerings.

As of September 30, 68% of the firm’s clients were based in the Americas, followed by 25% from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and 7% from the Asia-Pacific region.

Approximately 50% of the firm’s assets under management were from institutional clients, followed by 41% from ETF buyers and 9% from retail investors. Still, institutional clients accounted for 31% of the firm’s base fees, with ETFs accounting for 46% of fees and retail clients 23%.

“BlackRock’s results demonstrate the value of our integrated platform, as clients increasingly choose us as a partner across investing, financing and technology,” BlackRock CEO and Chair Larry Fink said in a statement. “That client trust is translating into higher earnings power, with shareholders benefiting from a more than 35% increase in adjusted earnings per share year-over-year, a 47.8% adjusted operating margin, and 11% annualized organic base fee growth in the third quarter.”
