“Every man over 40 is a scoundrel,” Irish gadfly George Bernard Shaw once wrote. He should know: He lived until the age of 94. But none of the men—or women—on this list would understand, for to be included (and we were sticklers this year), they had to be under the ripe age of 40 as of April 1, 2016. There were some close calls: Four of these members (we won’t say whom) will have already passed that age when you read this. But they made it for 2016, beating out a tsunami of nominations from asset managers and allocators like. As we never repeat members—and several of you scoundrels wouldn’t qualify again if we did—these 40 new inductees have a new goal: The Power 100.
