Julius Mercado
Outsourced CIO provider TIFF Advisory Services LLC announced the appointment of Julius Mercado as executive director and head of operations, reporting and data.
Mercado previously served as managing director and chief operating officer at the Columbia University Investment Management Co., which oversees the institution’s endowment, from 2018 through 2023.
Mercado will lead investment and client platforms at TIFF [The Investment Fund for Foundations], while strengthening the quality and accessibility of the firm’s data and reporting, according to TIFF’s announcement.
“Julius has built his career at the intersection of institutional experience and operational leadership,” said TIFF COO David Brenner in a statement. “He has a demonstrated history of building and scaling multi-asset investment operating platforms across public and private markets, and brings deep expertise in data architecture and performance reporting. He will be key in advancing our platform and delivering an even stronger client experience.”
Mercado worked at CIMCo from 2004 through 2023 and later founded advisory firm Eagle Lane Advisory LLC.
Mercado earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from the City University of New York, Queens College.
