Once again, a provider making its debut in the CIO LDI survey has come out on top. Fidelity, with about $18.5 billion in assets under management across more than 70 clients, has done just that—tying with GSAM for pole position with a score of 4.63 out of 5. Half or more of the respondents selected Fidelity through an existing relationship with the firm or a consultant recommendation, while more than two-thirds cited board due diligence. Above all, respondents valued the accessibility of the manager’s team—if anything, they are looking to Fidelity to innovate more around new ideas.
