IN last year’s survey, we mentioned how PIMCO had “distanced itself from recent years’ internal tumult” and improved its overall score a whopping 8.2%. This year, with that distance even further, PIMCO’s overall score is higher again, and is now among the survey’s best. In fact, the firm scores in the top five in all but two of the survey’s league tables, in addition to having the most responses (46) this year. Seven in 10 clients chose PIMCO for LDI due to an existing firm relationship—further evidence that PIMCO has put its internal issues to bed.
